    Ha!

    Just me being cheeky, Helen.

Remind me to fill you in on my theological perspective concerning the past ice age. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it or not, but I am not a "young earth creationist."

I was convinced before seeing the images. The weather patterns across the country are acting all screwy. New England has been seeing warmer winters. That's enough to convince me of climate change and global warming.

Remember this? ". . . he turned to the weather. “Cold today, isn’t it?”

“Yep,” I joked, “Record lows today with the first snow we’ve had this time of year in 20 years! Where’s that global warming they keep promising us?”

“Oh,” he replied, “We are having record low temperatures BECAUSE of global warming.”

I scratched my head trying to figure THAT one out . . . ."

And now "The weather patterns across the country are acting all screwy."

Something to think about. And here we are with Blogger not knowing how to convert :-) to a smiley! LOL

    Hey Guys!

    Forgive me!!

As you know, the Snipet is all about sarcasm--many people don't realize that when coming here.

I don't know if you noticed but the caption under the picture says "America 15,000 years ago, and America today". 15,000 ago the earth was in the middle of an ice age--and I was being a little facetious about the pictures I see around the net showing a picture of somewhere 75 years ago and a picture of it today (ie. Al Gore's Kilimanjaro picture) as evidence for global warming.

We have warmed quite a bit in the last 15,000 years--not sure if it all has to do with man and his love for the automobile. :)

I should have been a tinsy bit more obvious!

    You guys are great!

    -Jack

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
