DEMOCRATS - STILL THE PARTY OF "DON'T"
Thursday, January 11, 2007
THE PROBLEM THE NEWS SNIPET HAS HAD WITH DEMOCRATS SINCE KENNEDY IS THAT THEY ARE "DON'T" PEOPLE. RARELY, DO THEY HAVE SOLUTIONS, THEY ARE JUST VERY ADEPT AT WHINING AND COMPLAINING. MOST REASONABLE PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES WHETHER THEY AGREE WITH THE IRAQ WAR OR NOT, ACKNOWLEDGE THE UNITED STATES DEGREE OF RESPONSIBILITY IN SEEING A RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. DEMOCRATS, BY NATURE, SEEM UNABLE TO OFFER SOLUTIONS. BTW, Helen, I myself don't really know what should be done, but my beef with the Democrats is that for years they have done nothing--they just sit there and nay say everything suggested, but rarely present a plan for a solution to the problem. Their platform is "we just don't do what Republicans want to do". No solutions, no original thought, no talent, no drive--a great deal of hot air and words.

Lewis Black said in one of his standup performances last year, "We have the Democrats- the party of no ideas. And the Republicans- the party of bad ideas."

I dont know which is worse. Neither help I guess.

I read a column by Thomas Sowell Tuesday, where he states, "Who says that there is no difference between the political parties? When Democrats are criticized, they counter-attack. When Republicans are criticized, they whine that they are innocent."

Dont they all just sound like bratty kids?

Or, CH, "no matter who we vote for the government gets elected." Sad state we find ourselves in!

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
