And he said, "the only way to bring about the change [i]s 'a sea change in the public's understanding and opinion.'

The only way that political leaders of all parties will find the courage for the bold actions that are needed."

Gore has been criticized for bumbling his words. Maybe here he has found his niche where his "actions can speak louder than words."

Then again, he did write the book on the subject at hand.

I'm sorry that I'm a little slow, but I don't think I'm understanding the meaning behind posting the article and the comments. Are they sarcastic?

My comments weren't meant to be sarcastic. Gore is an authority on the environment and the man who would have been president sans Floridian chads!

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
