IT'S NOTHING REALLY...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Reading many 'blogs I have heard a lot of people poo-poo the idea that there is an assault on Christianity. It is mostly left leaning websites that scoff at this notion. The Democrat Party seems to be the party of choice for most of these self-proclaimed liberals, so is it any wonder that the above sticker was offered for sale on the Washington State Democratic Party website? Nah, its all our imagination.

That's a great sticker, but it's not an assault on Christianity. It's an assault on Hypocrisy. If I'm not mistaken, there is a passage (or passages) in the bible that condemns hypocrites who cloak themselves in Christianity but violate its priciples. That's who the sticker is really going after. So... it's one that Christians can get behind, too.

EP, they removed it after pressure from local groups. (You know those right-wing extremists).

Shea, I am not sure if you understand the significance of symbolism in the world, but this takes an icon developed by Christians in the first century who were being torn apart by lions and roasted over barbeque spits that has become to some one of sacred nature and makes a mockery of it. It is offensive to say the least to many. Sorry to differ with you on this, but this is referring to Christians as hypocrits, not addressing hypocrits themselves. What would you think of superimposing a Swastika over the Star of David?

The problem with many people today, Shea, is that they have no self-respect therefore respecting others and their views has become old fashioned. We have so embraced a culture of disrespect, abrasiveness, and intolerance, that this is looked at as the norm.

The mentality that produces this is the same mentality that called me "nigger". Same small mind, even smaller heart.

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
