Jack, this is going back and is completely off topic, but in an age of pay raises for people who do not deserve it, we forget about people who really do need it:
"I would like to help any Neo-Lib who firmly believes in wealth redistribution. I know most of you are well off, and I would like to offer you the opportunity to do for those less fortunate. We maintain a food and shelter program in our community and are always in need of funds. If any of you would be interested in contruting it would be greatly appreciated!"

Better late than never, I am interested. I feel I havent done enough lately. I stood by and watched during the hurricanes, wars, 9/11 and other disasters. Shoot me an email or something; if you lost it or dont have it, let me know.

    HiJack. Get it? HiJack?

I think Congressman should get a raise every time they lower our taxes.

    O!!

Fantastic to "see" you! Glad you're back and hope you're blogging again! I will drop over.

I think like liberals and conservatives alike use their ideologies and belief systems to justify their actions. Nothing should supercede the golden rule, but then again I have met few ideologues who abide by it. Not sure if this is what you were meaning.

ALWAYS great wisdome coming from the Lightning Bug's Butt. If none of you have visited Bug, his site is one of the greatest troves of conventional and unconventional wisdom out there. Confuscious (sp?) incarnate.

We already have term limits: the vote. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work. Enforcing other term limits means that if you manage to elect a good person, you're not allowed to keep them. Not a beneficial policy, I think.

    RM,

I think term limits would be a good way to fight corruption, and you hit the nail on the head about them looking at it like a "job".

    Shea,

I see your point too. I guess getting a "good" politician nowadays, though, is a rare occurance.

    Happy Thanksgiving all!

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
