FOXNews.com - U.S. & World - World Reacts to Katrina's Devastation: "Islamic extremists rejoiced in America's misfortune, giving the storm a military rank and declaring in Internet chatter that 'Private' Katrina had joined the global jihad, or holy war. With 'God's help,' they declared, oil prices would hit $100 a barrel this year." |

Hi FR!
Thanks for stopping by to comment on the blog.
Hmm...I guess I would find this credible as I saw many people rejoicing after the Twin Towers were destroyed. Also it is their aim to destroy America. You find this difficult to believe, just because it came from Fox News?

If oil prices do continue to skyrocket, it could be one of the best things to happen to the U.S. in a long time. It seems the only thing that gets people out of their cars is high gas prices. I've been reading all kinds of things about people driving less to cut their gas budget. Hallelujah! Let's hope it continues, and maybe people will actually start using the public transit options that do exist outside the urban core, forcing those options to improve, or even *gasp* using bicycles or their own feet as transit options!

C'mon, Kathy, do you realize that more toxic gases are emitted into the atmosphere from the volcano in Colima, Mexico in one year than have been produced by the automobile in the United States since it was invented?
Of course, I'm not opposed to more demand for alternative fuels and energies.

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".
Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.
In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
