Supreme Court Rules Cities May Seize Homes: "The Supreme Court today effectively expanded the right of local governments to seize private property under eminent domain, ruling that people's homes and businesses -- even those not considered blighted -- can be taken against their will for private development if the seizure serves a broadly defined 'public use.'" |

I would say that is capitalism at it's finest, not socialism; the highest bidder wins.

Nope, Toad...elimination of private property--by government through fiat--whether at the behest or itself or special interest has always been the goals of socialism. (I grew up in, and lived most of my life in socialistic countries)
The contemporary attacks on capitalism largely stem from the public's ignorance being fed through the fundamentalist economic thought of the media. The media are simple pawns of the establishment who want government/big business in absolute power--although they don't recognize what they are doing.
True capitalism can only survive in a free society with a large middle class. Socialism divides society into two and is just one step closer toward communism, then monarchy/fascism.
Of course your average Keynesian economics professor doesn't recognize this or teach it, so don't feel bad!
Thanks for your input though!

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".
Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.
In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
