FATHERS DAY

SOME INTERESTING NOTES ABOUT FATHER'S DAY: 1. $2 Billion more is spent on Mother's Day than on Father's Day. 2. AT&T and MCI report more collect calls on Father's Day than on any other day of the year. 3. Fathers Day was officially marked for observance in 1972, 58 years after Mothers Day was officially recognized. I'M FEELING A LITTLE UNDERAPPRECIATED...

    Some interesting notes about fathers...
    (1) I know more fathers than mothers who are estranged from a child, and (2) I know more people who are estranged from a father than a mother. I personally have never had a reason to buy a father's day card b/c the guy it would do to left my mom and me when I was one.

Sad story. Hate it happened to you. I don't think all fathers are like yours though.

    Thanks for commenting!

Ah, yes, Jack, our society is so unfair and oppresive to the male population. I mean, it's not like mothers have to go through nearly a year of being handicapped and often sickened, topped off by an excrutiating and life-threatening ordeal. Oh, wait, they do!

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
