Hi D/M!
Thanks for stopping by the News Snipet. All comments are valuable!
I have read many of the truth/fiction sites that have popped up on the web. Of note is that most of them are of ideologicial bent. For example, there is an extensive article I read on www.democraticunderground.com and it chronicled all the lies made by her parents, media, etc. and concluded that Terri should die.
The distressing thing about this truly is that it has become an ideological battle and a partisan one. Republicans want Terri to live, Democrats want her to die (speaking in general), Christians want her to live, Atheists want her to die, etc., etc.
By posting a particular article I look for one that supports my position. Having concluded that I nor anyone else is God and knows what is best for Terri, it is my personal opinion that the decision should be left to her and we should be human enough to give her every opportunity for recovery (slim though it be) to articulate her wishes. On the legal side, (which I am very familiar with considering my background), I detect irregularities in due process and the Constitutionality of the issue, therefore I look for something that supports that also.
Its not that I would not consider other viewpoints or data, its just that the internet is full of so much bunk, and people can state so much nonsense from a position of "authority" that I doubt half of what I read and the other half suspect. I will read the link you provide, but since it is it is so blatantly biased, do I have any more reason to believe it that blantantly biases sources that differ?
Again, DM, thanks for taking time to stop by and comment!

Nat Hentoff has hit the nail on the head so hard with his piece that all those judges that have ruled on Schiavo are shown up to be merciless nincompoops!!

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".
Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.
In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
