There are "left" and "right" ideologues. These individuals worship with religious fervor a paradigm often to the exclusion of rational thought. Ignorance is rarely an excuse, because when faced with facts and the truth, they are often immaterial to the argument. Here are examples of blind faith:
Right Ideologues:
- The Bush Administration is conservative
- Bush is pro-life
- The Republican Party is anti-tax
- The Republican Party supports the 2nd Amendment
- Bill Clinton never did anything right
- Liberals don't think
- The conservative talk shows are always truthful
- The Bush Administration's policy has been flawless
- Minorities are liberal
- All environmentalism is nuts
Left Ideologues:
- Bush stole the election
- Privatization will destroy social security
- Bush is a war criminal for the war in Iraq (without holding Bill Clinton to the same standard for multiple bombings and incursions into Iraq)
- Increasing taxes improves the economy
- The mainstream media is unbiased
- President Bush does not have a mandate. (most don't even understand what a mandate is)
- Minorities are helpless without the assistance of the great white race
- All environmentalism is science
And the list could go on. Care to add? |
How about how a lot of liberals think you should have sex as often as you want, with whomever you want, anywhere that you want, just so long as you use a condom, and preferably if it's with someone of the opposite sex?
