CONSISTENCY
Thursday, February 10, 2005
One thing that the Snipet prides itself on is consistency. While not always consistent, it edeavors to be consistent. One of the purposes of the Snipet is to point out INconsistencies, and as you know INconsistencies abound in our world. Long-time readers know that the Snipet criticizes neo-conservative INconsistencies just as quickly as left-leaning INconsistencies. Bush INconsistencies are as fair game as Clinton INconsistencies; Republican INconsistencies as Democrat INconsistencies. For example: The Snipet observes that those who are criticizing the new "Big Government" are the same ones who ideologically ask for it. The Snipet observes that those who are criticizing cuts in the budget are the same that have been asking for them. ------------------------------------------------- Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago. "Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
