Jack, this post (and all the similar reporting on this topic) makes me want to hide under my bed. Though, you've finally convinced me to write an article that has been swimming around in my head over the last few weeks.... I just have to find a way to write it that's relevant to my board. (Of course, there is that press release from the Christian Coalition.) Please tell me this is an attempt to stir things up...

Lefty, you're beginning to understand the Snipet's sense of humor. My point here is that any time an African American on the "left" is opposed by someone on the "right" they are labeled a racist. Good example would be my friend Jesse Jackson. (So upfront, this article was just a tease--not serious)
But...since you mentioned it...
Think about it. Here is an African American woman who has risen to the highest position in this nation's history, something that SOME credit should be given to (young African American girls should look at her as a role model), and her character is assasinated by a bunch of militant lockstepping senators.
I wrote an article a long time ago about "liberal racism" a long time ago. It was based on liberal's perspective on blacks and thier elitist attitudes toward them. I have many black friends and they are dignified individuals who have worked for everything they have, resenting any intimation that they need handouts from the "kind whites". A specific example is a friend who said that sentiment in his community is shifting away from the Democrats because they realize that they have been exploited by the Democrats--handouts in exchange for votes--which is a CONTEMPORARY trend.
I'm not denying that the Democrat party of the past was not the champion of the African American in this country--I would have been right there with those old-fashioned Democrats back then--but the current lot use minorities to increase their own power structures by offering payment for votes.
This can be said about politics in general, though, Lefty. Both sides of the isle are guilty. It's up to us to look at it honestly and call it for what it is when it happens.
Hopefully this article will explain a lot:

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".
Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.
In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
