RANDOM THOUGHTS ABOUT IRAQI ELECTIONS
Monday, January 31, 2005
From: Ralph Bristol I think it was about noon Sunday when I started hearing a voice in my head. It sounded exactly like President George W. Bush, and it kept repeating, “Nyaa nyaa nyaa nyaa nyaa.” At the bottom of all the tributes paid to democracy is the little man, walking into the little booth, with a little pencil, making a little cross on a little bit of paper. . . . "Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
