LIBERALS WITH GUTS!
Monday, January 31, 2005
There are a couple of "left-leaning" blogger-buds that I have that visit my site and comment. They are not too typical of many "left-leaners" because they tend to THINK (not just feel)! In addition, they don't mind looking in places for info that they might not particularly agree with. I like to award the "Libs with Guts" award to fellow-bloggers Schrenk Wrap and Religious Lefty.

First, I would like to thank the Academy... Now I can say that my Blog is officially endorsed by the Right!

Seriously, Jack, thanks for the nod. =)

It deserves one, Lefty...you do to! You never shy away from an argument when facts are presented. You just counter with other facts! I LIKE THAT! :)

    Jack,

Nice to read your posts again. I do find it ironic that you who convinced me to stop labeling people with rather outdated terms like liberal and conservative, are still using these terms. In this time, devisiveness is the last thing we need. Here you say that liberals 'feel' instead of 'think.' Well, as someone you would call a 'liberal,' please tell me how I got straight a's in college without thinking? Lefties say this same thing about righties. I think all the various ways of thinking that are unscientific are the problem, and everyone is guilty. We live in a post modern time when all the usual ties that bind civilizations are going away, and we need new laws that are more in line with the best science available, not more name calling... love your blog.

Johnnypain! Up from the ashes, Dude! Good to hear from you. Tell you the truth, Johnny, I went for days without the blog getting any comments, etc. So...I thought I would be just a bit of a stirrer to see if things could get going...anyhow, guilty as charged. Of course, labels are appropriate at times, but as you and I know, quite relative.

I KNOW why you got straight A's, Johnny. You're a brain, Man! That's the reason I read your 'blog. Deep--sometimes too deep for old Jack.

Anyhow, been checking in with you. Oh, btw, I discovered your email yesterday that you had written me. I was cleaning out mail and have no idea how I missed it. Will be getting back to you on it soon.

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
