IF I WERE A LIBERAL...
Thursday, January 27, 2005
A University of Colorado professor has sparked controversy in New York over an essay he wrote that maintains that people killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were not innocent victims. I would loudly disown such wacko kooks as this man. Typical of our failing homely halls of psuedo-academia. A challenge to my fellow bloggers who are liberal. This kind of sentiment is what is defining the liberal mindset. Do you have the guts or the brains to condemn this sentiment? If so, include your link in the comments below and I will post!

You think this "defines the liberal mindset?" Huh??? The liberal mindset is: "Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are war criminals." Not "All Americans are war criminals through guilt by association."

This guy is just trying to get attention by saying stuff he knows is gonna piss people off. Yeah, Sept. 11 happened because of U.S. policies and practices, but those practices were in response to other governments' policies and actions. Doesn't make any of it right. And doesn't mean anyone should blame the victims.

No fair, Kathy. For a liberal you use entirely TOO much common sense! :) Unfortunately it is the most verbal in our society that often define us, right.

Kathy, you took the words right out of my mouth.

Jack!!! "Defining liberal sentiment"?? How do you justify that? I take two weeks off, and you start saying that there's a dearth of common sense on the Left? And finally, I would hardly call this guy the "most verbal" among the left. This is one guy that is easy to mock.

To borrow from my state's governor, "I'll be back!"

I'm glad to see that there are some on the left that condemn the extremes of leftist sentiment. You did me proud, Lefty!! :)

Thought of you when I saw this article. See? Even the crazy, educated, liberal elite think this guys is off his rocker! :-)

Yep, Lefty, but apparently in our hallowed halls of academia a tenured professor can say anything he wants and get away with it--unless its something religious...:)

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
