EXLUSIVE RIGHTS
Thursday, January 06, 2005
The United States no longer has exclusive rights to being called the "land of the offended" or "PC-USA". "TOWNSHIP" - Now an offensive word. Read all about it at: http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/news/s/141/141905_word_ban_by_police_branded_madness.html Dedicated to my friend Religiouslefty who enjoys a love for the purity of language like I do.

It never ceases to amaze me how mad people can go when they don't fully understand a word. This makes about as much sense as saying "Hitler used the words 'is' and 'banjo' a lot, so therefore we will no longer use the words 'is' and 'banjo'."

That's pretty good. =) I mean, it's not like there isn't plenty of precident in the US and the UK for a nondiscriminatory use of the word... Or maybe a plot of land that is 36 miles on each side is offensive as well?

I can't say anything...I may end up offending someone...therefore, from now on I will just mumble incoherently.

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
