It sounds as if you're complaining about how lucky we are to pay all these wonderful taxes (giggle, guffaw, chortle). As any committed Leftist would tell you, the government knows best how to handle your money. After all what entity but the government could take our hard-earned money and convert it into a bloated bureaucracy, a disgraceful education system, and a haven for incompetents who can't get jobs in the private sector (although I freely acknowledge that we are also lucky enough to have thousands, nay, tens of thousands, of government employees who are intelligent, competent, decent and honest, which is more than citizens of many countries can say).
Government should retreat and stick to what it does best: safe, uniform roadways; warfare; limited welfare for the truly needy, not the perpetually needy; etc.
(I like your blog too and I like the idea behind it, as set out in your blog motto.)

Those telephone "taxes" just get me going. Mostly the money is used by and for the phone companies own pockets. Like to pay property tax on their various builidngs. It's just another example of picking our pockets.
Nice blog, Jack.

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".
Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.
In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
