Neat model. Where'd you find it?

Can proudly say, Bug, that I developed this on my own. Although I stopped a long time ago thinking that I come up with original thoughts, I have never seen anyone present the "left" and "right" in such a way--usually they are denoted in linear fashion. I started thinking along these lines when I taught at the University because it seemed that the ultimate goal when one strayed from the middle in either direction ended up in fascism. I am currently trying to develop a book along this line.

Bug, you can plot just about any event, ideology, political party, etc. on this continuum. I am working on similar for social, religious and economic models.

Any feedback or criticism would be GREATLY appreciated!

Bug, the average keynesian professor would not like thier pet ideology pointed out as a stop on the road to fascism. ha! I am struggling though with three of the terms, and if you can think of better I would appreciate it. I can't think of a better word or phrase to describe "political moderates" and "fundamental radicalism". If something strikes you let me know!

    Thanks!

oh wow, there was this test online that i took that really got into this kind of model. you answered the questions and it plopped you on this map. the map had where gandhi and stalin and hitler and washington and reagan etc were at and you could find who you were close to. (I was close to gandhi and someone I didn't like which was funny).

i'm gonna do a search on it, see if my memory is right that this model and the model it used is similar...

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".

Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.

Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.

In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
