Monday, December 20, 2004 |
Our median temperatures have been 15 degrees below normal for this time of year. I haven't heard any scientists talking about GLOBAL COOLING.

no, you won't find any scientists talking about this jack...
You can't seriously be disputing the greenhouse effect? This is just contention for the sake of contention. Which is fine, mind you, but not to be mistaken for the truth. This one is close to me, because I used to do environmental work, and feel fairly confident that we are dancing on the grave of this planet. I hope I am wrong as hell. But, like so on so many things, I am of course right.

I'm not disputing it particularly...but LOVE pointing out the kooky X-File types who forecast an alien invasion or global meltdown. The earth's climate is cyclical anyway, as evidenced by the the Greenland ice core. Volcanoes introduce more "greenhouse" gases to the environment than autos or factories. The only global warming we really need to worry about is the instantaneous kind--as in nuclear.

did you know that on sept 11 when they grounded the planes, world tempetures did some very interesting things... possibly pointing to planes as the major culprit, because the plumes lead to clouds, etc...
To say something like 'volcanoes give off more gas' is fine, but what does that mean? If cars and factories are enough to start a greenhouse effect, whatever else you can say about them is slightly irrelevent. We are going to die over this bit of folly and take the higher animal kingdom with us.

"Snipet" (pronounced: snipe - it) is not a word.It is a derivative of two words: "Snipe" and "Snippet".
Miriam Webster defines Snipe as: to aim a carping or snide attack, or: to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage.
Miriam Webster defines Snippet as: : a small part, piece, or thing; especially : a brief quotable passage.
In short, "Snipets" are brief, snide shots at exposed situations from a concealed vantage point.
